He Filled Every Place With Death
From today’s reading…
And as he alighted, he filled every place with death;
he still reached to heaven, while he stood upon the earth.”
Today we see Wisdom 18 & 19 connected to Exodus 12 connected to Psalm 105 connected to 2 Thessalonians 2 connected to Luke 18.
It’s divine the way 73 books written/compiled by hundreds of authors over thousands of years have been woven together into a deep, coherent story that reveals God’s plan for us.
Every verse has a connection to another verse written 1,000 years before or after it.
It’s not coincidental. It’s not magic. It’s the hand of God guiding His chosen authors, prophets, and saints to participate in His revelation of the Good News…and the bad news.
Today God reveals what happens if we do not follow His plan.
In this verse from Wisdom 18, the Passover story from Exodus 12 is recalled as the Word is personified as coming
…from heaven’s royal throne bounded, a fierce warrior, into the doomed land, bearing the sharp sword of your inexorable decree.”
God repaid the evil of the Egyptian Pharaoh with a taste of his own medicine.
Today, our government “leaders” are killing even more babies each month than Pharaoh did in total.
