How many stitches does a baseball have? Part 3

Like an effective prospecting call or successful sales call, there is more to a baseball than meets the eye.

What many take for granted actually takes great skill, focus, and practice, not to mention continuous testing, measuring, and commitment to improvement.

So let’s take a look at all of the components of a baseball then we’ll watch a video to see “how it’s made.”

How much cotton and wool is used to make a baseball?

150 yards of cotton yarn and 219 yards of wool yarn are used to make an MLB baseball.

Those balls of yarn to the right are 150 yards each.

You would need about 2.5 of those balls of yarn to make just one baseball.

Ever wondered how something so soft can hurt so bad?

I guess it’s like snow or anything else for that matter, if you bunch it up tight enough and shoot it at your head at 100+ miles per hour, anything can turn into a painful experience!

Now how many stitches does a baseball have to hold all of this cotton and wool together?
