How To Fill Your Heart With Fire

I say to myself, I will not mention him,

I will speak in his name no more.

But then it becomes like fire burning in my heart,

imprisoned in my bones;

I grow weary holding it in, I cannot endure it.” Jeremiah 20:9

Jeremiah didn’t raise up his hand, hold up his Torah, accept Yahweh as his personal Lord and Savior and suddenly life was a rose garden.

On the contrary, Jeremiah had a tough row to hoe. He was torn. He struggled. He accuses God of “duping” him. He was laughed at, mocked, derided, and reproached all for speaking the Word of God.
