InfusionSoft Fall 2011 Preview: Campaign Builder

Infusionsoft Introduces Drag & Drop Functionality!

The Infusionsoft team takes the feedback of their clients seriously, as you can see wit the newly updated Campaign feature. It has been completely overhauled to provide Infusionsoft users with:

  • More Triggers—Campaigns can be triggered to run with more than a web form. Create new triggers such as a purchase is made, a note template is applied, or an opportunity stage is moved or use your existing triggers to start and/or stop a Campaign.

  • Visual Status TrackingInfusionsoft now gives you a blue status bar showing “16%” or “39%” on the “Campaign Readiness” to let you know when you are ready to launch the Campaign. The additional icons with the new headers and fields with red or green dots help you easily identify issues that might arise when editing the Campaign down the road.

  • Built-in Reporting—”Test and Measure” is the name of the marketing game. With the new built-in reporting features such as the Campaign Stats Counters assigned to the Start Trigger, Stop Trigger and to each campaign Follow-Up Sequence you’ll know all of your critical numbers with a glance. You can also place the Campaign Stats widget on your home page to monitor multiple campaigns simultaneously. (For you Alabama Crimson Tide fans, that means “at the same time.”)

  • The Campaign’s “Big Picture”—”Back in the day” we would have as many as 6 separate tabs or windows open to build out one simple sequence because you would create a Web Form that generated a Tag then created a Follow-Up Sequence that sent a series of emails with Trackable Links that Started or Stopped additional Follow-Up Sequences…that became confusing. Now you can see how the Campaign pieces integrate to automate your marketing processes and easily access the individual components to modify, update, edit or even replace them altogether.

  • and one or three or 119 more cool things!

With this Infusionsoft Fall 2011 release it is easier than ever to create, launch, monitor and update a multi-step, multi-media, multi-sequence marketing automation campaign.

Like always you will be able to track recipient responses and transition them to follow-up messages automatically.

With Infusionsoft’s new Campaign Builder you’ll be able to more readily tap into the power of their behavior-based routing without becoming an expert in marketing automation or Infusionsoft. Finally, nearly all of InfusionSoft’s Campaign articles have been revised so dive on in and find out just how easy it is to create an intelligent marketing campaign in InfusionSoft.

Infusionsoft Campaign Builder FAQs

How are my existing Campaigns affected by this upgrade?

  • Your existing campaigns will be converted to the new Campaign Builder format but your content and connections will not be affected. All of your Campaigns will function as they did in the past. However, you will receive the additional benefits offered by the new Campaign Builder, including added flexibility, improved tracking, and additional status tracking.

How much control do I have over campaign Follow-Up Sequences?

  • The Campaign Builder generates email-only sequences that are sent a fixed number of days apart. When you build a Campaign, you will select the number of emails and the number of days between each email. However, after the campaign sequence is created, you can add multimedia steps and vary the schedule by editing the campaign sequence.

Can I use my existing forms and sequences in a Campaign?

  • Of course. You can insert existing content into a Campaign, assembling the existing pieces into the Campaign view. The existing content will remain intact, and some additional campaign actions will be auto-generated to ensure you’ll be able to use the Campaign Builder’s built-in reporting tools.

How can I tell if my Infusionsoft Campaign is running properly?

  • Reporting tools are built in and include statistics counters and measurements on click-through percentages. These can be seen in the Campaign view. There is also a widget just for Campaign Stats which can be added to your Home page to quickly view stat counts for multiple campaigns.

Can I modify or update a Campaign once it is saved?

  • Yes. You are able to edit almost every aspect of a Campaign: Name, Description, Start and / or Stop Trigger, Sequences, and Automation Links. You can only have 1 Start and Stop Trigger for each Campaign, however, you are able to change the campaign triggers. You are also able to remove a sequence from a campaign and / or add a new sequence.
