Why The Doubt In Your Heart?
From today’s reading…
But he said, ‘Why are you so agitated, and why are these doubts stirring in your hearts? See by my hands and my feet that it is I myself. Touch me and see for yourselves; a ghost has no flesh and bones as you can see I have.’” Luke 24:38-39
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again and again and again.
The purpose of war is not the destruction of your enemy.
The purpose of war is to take away your enemy’s will to fight.
Jesus knows this.
He knows the importance of hope, faith, courage, self-confidence, and intestinal fortitude.
He knows we are lost sheep without Him. He knows that seeing is not always believing.
He knows that sometimes we must see and see and see again to believe.
He knows that we must see and hear and touch and taste and smell and do it with hundreds of others over 40 days or 40 weeks or 40 years to have it finally sink in.
Jesus came to save the world, and that can only happen if the 11 He chose, and the hundreds they chose have the hope, faith, courage, self-confidence, and intestinal fortitude to stare death in the face and scoff at it.
He does so by allowing and encouraging them to look at Him and touch Him.
Then He has them feed Him.
Then He continued teaching and explaining everything He had already been teaching and explaining for the last three years so they would have what it would take to…
Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.
Now go sell something.
