Worthy Is The Lamb That Was Sacrificed
From today’s reading…
In my vision, I heard the sound of an immense number of angels gathered round the throne and the living creatures and the elders; there were ten thousand times ten thousand of them and thousands upon thousands, loudly chanting: Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing.” Revelation 5:11-12
10,000 x 10,000 is one hundred million, which is 23.46% more than the historical vote total the great, the powerful, the eloquent, the almighty savior Joe Biden (supposedly) got in the 2020 election, so you know that’s a lot.
Now imagine the power of one hundred million people singing together.
To give you a comparison, on October 8, 1988, 79,431 fans gathered at LSU’s Tiger Stadium to watch them take on Auburn. In the 4th quarter, LSU scored the winning touchdown on a 4th down play, and the fans cheered so loudly it registered on the school’s seismograph and was thus dubbed the “Earthquake Game.” If you assume 20,000 fans were for Auburn, that means fewer than 60,000 fans were able to shake the earth. Now imagine what one hundred million would sound and feel like.
When the Worthy Lamb was sacrificed, the earth did shake, as we read in Matthew 27:51.
It shook again on Easter Sunday when “an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled away the stone and sat on it” (Matthew 28:2).
Now imagine how the devil would shake if all 1.34 billion Catholics in the world would gather each day to give honor, glory, and blessing to our Paschal Lamb.
Let’s get together this week and make that happen because it’s the only way to…
Stay the course.Keep the faith.Endure.
Now go sell something.
